Seran Gypsy Holiday Cottage was used as a hay barn. It had a threshing machine and formed a vital part in the farm food supply for the animals. Today, where once this hive of activity took place, the kitchen in this holiday cottage also provides a vital service in the food supply.
In the photographs on this page, the outside of the complex that is part of Seran Gypsy, was under renovation.
A feature of the present holiday cottage is the beam across the middle. This can be clearly seen on the old photograph during the internal strip down. Many hours of hard work have gone into this major re-construction work to produce a holiday cottage with stunning views of the valley from the first floor.
In this holiday cottage, the bedrooms are on the ground floor, as is a bathroom and toilet and washing machine. Off the hallway is a single bedroom, and a double en-suite bedroom and shower.
The first floor has a fully fitted kitchen, with refrigerator, microwave oven, kettle, toaster, crockery, electric hob and fan assisted oven. The diner lounge has views of the valley that can be seen whilst enjoying a meal, or just admiring the scene. Heating is by electric night store, and the lounge area has a wood burning stove and a colour television. Bed linen and a small supply of towels are provided.
Parking is available past the end of the cottages.
