Boothferry Holiday Cottage

Originally Boothferry Holiday Cottage was used as a stable, as was the other cottages in this complex. Built out of stone, it has a solid, "will withstand anything", type appearance. In 1989, along with Corby Wood and Valencourt, it was converted to its present form as a holiday cottage.
The double bedroom was a tool store, and a door was knocked through from the main stable, up 2 small steps, which is now the lounge kitchen.
An all ground floor cottage, it is ideal for anyone who cannot manage stairs. The double bedroom with en-suite, has views of the sunrise which ensures a good start to the day. From the fully fitted kitchen, there are lovely views of the hills as you wash up or brew your Yorkshire tea.
A small passage connects the kitchen lounge, to a twin bedroom on the left, also with sunrise views, and straight on to the dining room. On the right of the passage is a shower and w.c.
Heating is by electric night storage, with a wood burning stove that really gives that "cosy cottage" feeling. For those for those who follow the "Heartbeat" series, a colour television will keep you in touch with the latest episode.
Just outside is a small grassed area to the right of Boothferry holiday cottage, with a bench for you to sit and watch the sun rise or the sun set. The kitchen is fully fitted with washing machine, refrigerator, microwave oven, kettle, toaster and crockery. Cooking is by electric hob and fan assisted oven. Bed linen and a small supply of towels are provided. Parking is available past the end of the cottages.
